Photographs by F. Taylor Ostrander and Frank Ostrander
Photographs by F. Taylor Ostrander and Frank Ostrander
At the Cornwall, NY Town Hall - Sponsored by the Cornwall Recreation Department
The first part of this exhibit consists of six black and white photographs by F. Taylor Ostrander taken in the late 1930s with an early Exakta SLR camera and printed by him. The senior Mr. Ostrander is now 100 years old living in a nursing home in Williamstown, MA. The remaining photographs are by Frank Ostrander, taken (mostly with a digital camera) between 1982 and 2008 and printed using various commercial services.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Beauty
Beauty exists everywhere, all around us,
all the time and in every thing.
Beauty is like a key, that unlocks a feeling.
As a photographer, the goal is to see it,
to capture it, to preserve it,
and hopefully convey it to others.
(This was inspired by stefangrosjean's entry:
How beautiful do you have to be to be loved?)
New York Renaissance Faire 2012
is Over!
As many of you are already aware, I was there Saturday (second to the last day), so effectively I opened and Closed Ren Faire. I took 440 pictures on Saturday, certainly the most pictures I've ever taken in one day. I really enjoy taking pictures of people and I don't often get a chance to do so.
A few of them came out pretty well. I've posted some and hope to post more as time and inspiration permit.

Ren Faire 2012 Opening Day
Well, I finally had a chance to try out my new camera at Ren Faire! I'm pretty happy with the results. I like the auto-iso feature. I'm pretty happy with my 40-150 lens. I still have a lot of learning to do...
