Looking North up the Hudson River towards Poughkeepsie. It's snowing in July - you can see the snow emanating from the front of the anvil. You can also see that it's evaporating.

The two towers that you can see on a distant hilltop towards the left of the photo are just West of Highland, NY.

Very cool. It is nearly inpossible to see anvil heads in the Northeast unless you are on or near water. Growing up in the midwest, I used to see them all the time.

I certainly haven't seem many. We do have quite a view up the Hudson, and for some reason a lot of weather seems to pass just north of us so I get to see it.
